this was hitchcock's favorite of all his films. i think its really good that teresa wright has the first billing on all of the posters, because she really is the main character, and i feel like it would have been rare for a woman to get the first billing. when teresa wright filmed this movie she was 25, but her character is supposed to be around 17, and she looks very young, like 17, but mature, which i think is cool. the weird sexual tension and obsession between uncle and niece is interesting and awesome and would never fly today. this is one of my new favorite movies. i'm really obsessed with alfred hitchcock's.
