the last photo that is slightly different interests me. it kind of brings you back from just looking at a photograph, and you actually realize that these people lived. i love this little girl, she seems weirdly modern.
this woman's face is stright outta the dust bowl
this woman plays the wife of michael shannon on boardwalk empire. the first moment i saw her face, i immediately thought of the following two famous photos, taken during the dust bowl era by walker evans and dorothea lange, the ones that everyone learns about in high school u.s. history class/if they take a history of photography class at a liberal arts college. it's be pretty awesome to have a face like that today, the way this actress does.
